What Is EVP?
Thomas Alva Edison EVP inventor (February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931) was an American inventor and businessman who developed many devices which greatly influenced life around the world. Dubbed “The Wizard of Menlo Park” by some, he was one of the first inventors to apply the principles of mass production to the process of invention and then distribution to the masses of his inventions. It is said that before he died, he had stumbled across electronic voice phenomena after having contact with a man who had accidentaly recorded EVP and had contacted Edison- and was developing a device to achieve this process with ease, but with his failing health and eventual death in 1931 the device was never finished. He was said (although not a religeous man by all accounts) to believe that out personalities may live on after death and reside in a different sphere of being.
EVP
Electronic voice phenomena is briefly, the process of capturing messages from the spirit world (or realm of existance), including our loved ones who have passed, by using an ordinary magnectic tape recorder. Some believe these are the voices of earth bound spirits or spirits that have never been chosen to incarnate or inhabit a physical body at all, many others believe it is merely a coincidence or background noise of various other devices such as radio, CB Radio or mobile phone waves-however it’s a particularily hard phenomena to ignore when reccording are produced in rural areas, and the voices are actually heared to be chatting to the onlookers by name and to consider this phenomena has been reported to have occured way back in the 1800’s on phonographs!
Electronic Disturbance Phenomena (EDP) is another phrase meaning EVP.If the premise is enticing to you read on. If it can be made to work, you would be able to cut out the middleman (psychics like myself|) and go right to the source for a good chat with your loved one. From my own experience on hearing EVP recordings, it unfortunatly isn’t as simple as that- you can try to tape and get nothing at all, but in a different time and place you may record a lot, not neccesarily those of your loved ones however…that is the problem in annoucing a party and throwing out an open invitation to all (So I feel most psychics and mediums are not going to end up unemployed for now) but it truly is am amazing phenomena when/if it occurs and there is nothing to stop anyone with a tape recorder giving it a go. More reasearch is needed- but mainstream scientists show little interest in doing so. Any advances in this area are going to be made by paranormal devotees through trial and error and…a lot of spols of tape.
